Guest versus Registered User

When you buy items on our store, we give you the option to either register an account first or to buy items as a guest of the website.

Guest Checkout

If you buy items as a Guest, then:

  1. It means that you are placing an order without first creating an account with us.
  2. An account will automatically created for you, once you have paid for the order. You will be able to access the account after you have reset the password for your account.

Registered User Checkout

If you buy items as a Registered user, then:

  1. It means that you already have a registered account with us and that you are logged in, when you place the order.
  2. This means that you will be able to access your account prior to, during and after placing the order..

Account Registration

  1. Manual Account Creation on the registration page: If you are using a laptop or desktop, then click on the My Account link at the top section of the website and type in your email address, name and surname on the registration form. Next you must click on the register button. If you are using a tablet or a mobile phone, then click on the account icon link at the top section of the website and type in your email address, name and surname on the registration form. Next click on the registration button. After registering, you will receive an email with your account details. Inside this email will be a password reset link. Click on this link to set a password for your account. If you do not see the email in your inbox, then look for it in the spam folder in your email account. You can also use the “forgot password” link on the My Account login page, to receive the password reset email.
  2. Automated Account Creation on the checkout page: If you checkout as a Guest, the system automatically creates an account for you, once you have paid for your order. After you have paid for your order, you will receive an email with your account details and inside this email there will be a password reset link. Please click on that link to set the password for your account. If you do not see the email in your inbox, then look for it in the spam folder in your email account. Alternatively, you can also click on the “forgot password” link on the My Account login page, to receive the password reset link email.

STEP 1: Navigation and Searching for Products

  1. You can browse our products by making use of the various category links on the website.
  2. On some of  the category pages, above the products, you will see a product filter section. If you want to, you can use the product filters to refine your search for products in that particular category.
  3. If you do not want to browse products via category and if you are instead looking for a specific product, you can then search for that specific product by making use of the search bars on the website. Type in the name of the relevant product that you are looking for and then click on the orange search icon. If we have that particular product in our inventory, then the product will be displayed.

STEP 2: Adding Products to the Shopping Cart

  1. If you want to order more than one packet of a particular seed or plant, then use the plus and minus icons next to the add to cart button on the product page, to select the quantity that you want to buy.
  2. Then you must click on the orange add to cart button on the product page, to add that item to the shopping cart. Do this for every product that you want to buy.
  3. After adding all the items that you want to order to the shopping cart, you then click on the cart basket icon at the top section of the website. The shopping cart page will then be displayed. On this page you can adjust quantities and you can also delete items from the shopping cart, if you wish to do so.
  4. Once you are happy with the items and quantities in the shopping cart, you then click on the checkout button.

STEP 3: Add you Personal details on the Checkout Page

  1. If you are a registered user and you are already logged in to your account, then all your person details will be automatically populated on the checkout page. Make sure that details such as your address and cellphone phone number is correct.,
  2. If you are a registered user, but you are not logged in, then at the top of the checkout page you will see that there is a login link for registered users. Click on the link to login. Once you have logged in, all your details will automatically appear on the check out page. Make sure that details such as your address and cellphone phone number is correct.,
  3. If you are not a registered user, then on the checkout page you must fill in your billing address and personal details such as name, email address and cellphone number. Make sure that the cellphone number that you enter is a South African cellphone number and that all the digits are there and entered correctly. Do NOT enter a landline number or an international cellphone number, else we will not be able to deliver your parcel. Also make sure that your email address is typed in correctly, else we will be unable to send you emails regarding your order.
  4. If you are not a registered user and you do not want to first create an account before placing an order, then an account will automatically be created for you, once you have paid for the order. You will be able to access the account after you have reset the password for your account
  5. The benefits of an account is that you can view all your orders, you can download growing guides and invoices for orders placed, You can also manage your Wishlist, you can view your store credits and you do not have to fill in your billing details each time when you place a new order.
  6. If you want the parcel to be delivered to a different address than your billing address, then tick the box that says “Ship to a different address?” Then you fill in all the shipping address fields. We will then ship the parcel to the shipping address that you have specified. You can add the name of the person who will be receiving the parcel, if the person is someone else. You can also add another South African cellphone number in the Shipping Cellphone Number section, if the recipient of the parcel is someone else or if someone else will be receiving the parcel on your behalf. The courier company will then use that cellphone number for communication regarding the delivery of the parcel.
  7. After filling everything in on the checkout page, you then select which courier option you prefer. For most central areas the option will be economy courier or express courier. If there is no option to select a courier option, it is because we charge a specific courier rate to deliver to your area. This specific courier charge will be displayed in the totals of the checkout page.
  8. Tick the box that says “I have read and agree with the website terms and conditions.” If you have not read the terms and conditions, then just click on the text next to the tick box and a pop up box will appear, where you can read the terms and conditions.

STEP 4: Place your Order and Make Payment

  1. Next you click the place order button and the page will then redirect to the Payfast payment page.   2. Once you have made the payment, the page will then redirect to the thank you / order confirmation page, which will display the order number, what you have ordered, your billing and shipping address, as well as download links to the growing guides for the items that you have ordered.
  3. You will also receive an email with your order details once you have made the payment. This email will contain the order number, the list of items that you have ordered, your billing and shipping address, as well as the download links for the growing guides.

STEP 5: Shipping and Delivery

  1. The parcel is then shipped to you via the Courier Guy courier company. Orders placed Mon-Thurs are shipped out the next day. Orders placed Fri- Sun are shipped out on the following Monday.
  2. Once the courier driver has collected the parcel from us, we then send you an Order Note email notification that the parcel has been collected. This email also contains the tracking number and the tracking link, so that you can track the movements of your parcel.
  3. We then send you a separate email after that, to inform you that the parcel has been shipped and that the order has been fulfilled.
  4. Once the parcel is about to be delivered, you will receive an sms with a Pin Code from the courier company. This Pin Code must be given to the courier driver upon delivery. Without giving the Pin Code to the driver, the parcel will not be delivered, therefore it is extremely important that you make sure you add the correct cellphone number on the checkout page. Make sure that the cellphone number you enter is a South African cellphone number and that all the digits are there and entered correctly. Do NOT enter a landline number or an international cellphone number, else we will not be able to deliver your parcel.
