Jacaranda Tree (Jacaranda mimosifolia) is a sub-tropical tree native to south-central South America. It is a stunning deciduous or semi-deciduous ornamental tree prized for its beautiful blue-violet flowers and delicate fern-like foliage. It can grow up to 15m in height with a rounded, spreading crown. The tree can be grown in large containers and is great for bonsai.

Growing Jacaranda Tree
Indoor Sowing: Spring.
Direct Sowing: Spring.
- Soak the seeds in water for 24 hours.
- Place the seeds on a bed of potting soil in seedling containers or pots.
- Cover the seeds with a thin layer of potting soil and keep the soil moist.
- The ideal germination temperature is between 20 – 24 degrees Celsius.
- Germination in about 2 months or more.
- Once big enough, transplant the seedlings into pots and only transplant into final position after 8 months.
