Growing Split Leaf Philodendron
Indoor Sowing: Spring.
Direct Sowing: Spring.
- Philodendron seeds do not need to be soaked prior to planting.
- Sow the seeds about 1cm deep in a quality seed starting or potting mix. Press them in and lightly cover with soil.
- Be sure to keep the soil moist.
- The seeds will take about 2 to 8 weeks to germinate if the temperature of the soil is kept between 20 to 23 degrees Celsius.
- When the seedlings sprout and become sturdy enough to handle, move each one to a small pot of its own.
- As the plants grow and roots fill the pot, re-pot them into a larger container.
