Rajah Chilli is a South African bred Cayenne type hot pepper. It is widely used for the production of chili powder. The pepper size is about 12 cm in length by 1.5 cm in diameter and have thin fleshed walls. The uniform fruit is very hot, with a good flavor. The chilli changes color from dark green to a dark red when mature. The relatively thin fruit wall makes the drying of the chilies easier. The fruit can also be used for the production of chutneys, Thai sauces etc.
