Red Hot Cherry Pepper Seeds. Red Hot Cherry chillies are bright red and round ‘cherry’ shaped with  moderately hot thick walls which makes them ideal for pickling, stuffing,  adding to salsas or roasting in the oven stuffed with cheese & herbs. Red Hot Cherry  rate 2,500 – 5,000 on the Scoville Scale so they have a bit of a bite (rather like a jalapeno’s heat).

The sturdy plants are fairly compact reaching about 60cm. They are very productive and are quick to fruit. This early-bearing, disease-resistant, hybrid chilli explodes with flavor and bears as much as 50 percent more fruit per plant than its traditional, open-pollinated relatives.

Growing Red Hot Cherry Pepper

• Red Hot Cherry is normally fairly low maintenance and quite easy to grow, as long as a level of basic care is provided throughout the year. Being aware of the basic soil, sun and water preferences will result in a happier and healthier plant.
• Red Hot Cherry can be started off from seed sown indoors from late winter until the middle of spring.
• Fill a 10cm  pot with good quality seed compost, flatten it down to leave a level surface, then sow a few Pepper Seeds on top.
• Place the newly planted seeds in a warm location, as they like heat.
• Once the seeds germinate, keep the soil evenly moist and ensure that they stay in a location that receives plenty of light.
• When the seedlings are large enough to handle without damaging them, you can transplant the plants into a garden
