Red Giant Mustard is a large, leafy vegetable which may reach up to 90cm in height. The leaf color is striking and the rich red- purple, deeply textured leaves are contrasted by the bright green of the central vein. The leaves are tender and succulent, while the stems are crunchy.

- They can be lightly steamed, stir-fried or sautéed.

Growing Red Giant Mustard
- Plant in early spring and again in midsummer for an autumn crop.
- It is a hardy plant that can grow in full sun to part shade.
- It requires moist, but well drained fertile soil.
- Sow Mustard seeds in average well-worked soil in full sun.
- Sow seeds evenly and cover with ½ inch fine soil. Firm lightly and water gently.
- Seeds germinate in 5 to 10 days at temperatures between 7 to 30°C.
- Keep plants well watered during dry periods to promote rapid, uninterrupted growth.
