Bullet chilli is a prolific and early yielding pepper distinguished by its hot, cone-shaped fruit. Underneath the surface, the semi-thick flesh is crisp, green to red, and encases a central cavity filled with membranes and flat, round, cream-colored seeds.
They have a fruity and slightly smoky flavor mixed with a slow-burning, moderate to the hot level of spice. As they mature, the fruit reach a length of 7cm and turn from green to red. They develop a thick, juicy flesh and can be substituted for jalapeños or used as a frying pepper when either green or red. Bullet chilli peppers are often considered too hot to be consumed raw and are best suited for sautéing, stir-frying, grilling, and roasting.
