Sold as 1 small Comfrey Plant (Symphytum officinale) in a 10cm pot. The plants have been propagated from division of our own plants.
Comfrey is an erect, stout perennial herb. Large, broad, lance shaped, hairy leaves. The middle and upper leaves are without stems, but the point at which they attach to the stems extends downward to the stalk. The stalk itself is distinctly winged. This Comfrey plant produces clusters of bell/trumpet shaped flowers that is a light lilac/white color.
Comfrey has many medicinal benefits, especially when it comes to healing bruises as well as pulled muscles and ligaments, fractures, sprains, strains, and osteoarthritis. It is commonly known as Knitbone. It also makes a great organic fertilizer for plants.
The plant can be grown in semi-shade or full sun, but prefers full sun. Can be grown in any soil, as long as it is well draining. It prefers slightly moist soil, so do water regularly, especially during the hot summer months. Can be grown in containers.
