Ready to harvest at 76 days the Ancho Grande chilli pepper is called the “Poblano” when green. These peppers are 10cm long and 6cm across at the top then tapering to a blunt point. The peppers ripen from a dark green to rust red. Plants grow to about 75-90cm and has a continuous harvest. This has a scoville rating of 1000 to 1500 SHUs.
Ancho Grande chilli pepper is a favorite! Great for making authentic Mexican dishes. Stuff them with quinoa, veggies for a perfectly balanced appetizer or meal. To lower the heat content, make sure to de-seed them. Pick them fully red to get the hottest pepper and more flavor!
