Lemon Basil offers a different scent – pure, clean, citrus-lemon, and it’s easily grown from seed. It is botanically known as Ocimum citriodorum and sometimes classified as Ocimum x africanum or O. americanum var. pilosum.

Basil is an indispensable flavoring, and it’s used around the world.

Culinary Uses

Pick the leaves and use them fresh or dried in herb vinegars and with chicken, fish, vegetables and soups.

Growing Lemon Basil

Indoor Sowing: Late Winter and Early Spring.

Direct Sowing: Spring and Summer.

Sow indoors 6-8 weeks before the last frost in spring
Sow Basil Seeds evenly by covering them with 0.5 cm of soil.
Keep the soil moist.
The basil seeds should germinate within a week.
