Sold as 3 Spekboom Cuttings. Spekboom (Portulacaria afra) is an attractive, evergreen succulent shrub or small tree that can reach 2 – 5 m in height. It has small round succulent leaves and red stems. Small star-shaped pink flowers are borne en masse from late winter to spring although flowering in cultivation is often erratic. They are a rich source of nectar for many insects, which in-turn attracts insectivorous birds. The leaves are edible and the plant has medicinal uses as well. Can be grown in containers.

Planting the Spekboom Cuttings
- Insert the cutting into a pot of moistened growing medium so the bottom set of leaves rests on the surface and then press the medium firmly against the stem.
- Set the pot in a warm, bright location out of direct sun.
- Keep the soil moist, but not wet.
- Once the cutting starts taking root you will see new growth forming.
