Kale Chou Moellier is an old heirloom Giant Tree Kale variety that grows up to several metres tall on a thick, sturdy, central stem. The leaves are only slightly curled at the edges and can be harvested leaf by leaf from the bottom up, allowing for a long harvest and to avoid damage to the growing tip. It is heavy producer that tastes great when chopped raw in salads, blended in smoothies, used as a cooked green vegetable or made into kale chips. Excess kale freezes well. Use in a similar way to collards or cabbage. Eat raw or cooked. 7-9 weeks to harvest.
