While the fruit can be harvested at various stages of green, the fully yellow, ripe stage is the point of maximum juiciness and high acidity.

Indoor Sowing: Early Spring.

Direct Sowing: Not Recommended.

• Soaking the seeds in warm water for 6-12 hours can help speed up germination.
• Fill a seed tray or small pot with well-draining potting mix.
• Plant the seeds about 1cm deep, and water lightly to keep the soil moist, but not soggy.
• Cover the pot with plastic wrap to create a mini-greenhouse effect and maintain humidity.
• Place the pot in a warm, bright location with indirect sunlight.
• Maintain a temperature between 21-24°C for optimal germination.
• Germination in about 1 month, but can take longer.
• Once seedlings have sprouted and have a few leaves, remove the plastic covering.
• Keep the soil consistently moist, but not waterlogged.
• Once the seedlings are big enough, you can transplant them into individual pots.
